Really? I went to art school before the war.

No. I'm 99. I actually had a birthday back in July. Granted I did spend about seventy or so years under ice.

Do you mean... figuratively 'under ice' or literally? I'm sorry, just trying to wrap my head around what I'm 'hearing' so to speak. You look incredible for 99.

So that's actually a thing? Cryo technology is no where near advanced enough where... WHEN I'm from.

I wasn't in cryo. But it is a thing in my world.

I was actually in a crashed ship encased entirely in ice.

I did. Asleep for a very long time. Didn't wake up until they found me and brought me out.

It's okay. I don't mind. It's apart of me now.

I like all kinds, but I do a lot of sketching myself.

How is that even possible?

If I can ask of course.

I can sketch a little. I took a class so I could do police sketches with any witnesses.

Tough to say. They think it was a combination of the ice and the Project Rebirth serum they gave me. It did something to me they weren't expecting.

That's a valiant way to put talent to good use.

I was a detective so I wanted to develop any skills that would help me with to help people.

That's admirable. I was in the Army back during the second world war. Sketching didn't help me much back then.

So you don't find art therapeutic? I read a study that art therapy is actually a really excellent and effective outlet.
But it doesn't always work for everyone.

I think it woulda been a lot more difficult if I hadn't been introduced to the serum and vitarays. I was barely a hundred pounds soaking wet. Allergic to just about everything.

It is. It kept my mind off a lot of things after missions.

I was 5'4 and 95 pounds before. After I was 6'2 and 220. Could barely bench press thirty pounds. Probably around 2,000 now.

It was a closely guarded secret by the man in charge. He died before he could ever tell anyone how to properly replicate it. It was a chemical mixture as well as a heavy dose of vita radiation.

I've never heard of vita radiation.

A lot of people haven't. Someone tried to replicate it with gamma radiation. It didn't work.

It's okay. I don't mind the questions. People ask them. My entire life has sort of been on display since the serum. The comic book. The war reels. Smithsonian exhibit. I'm sort of an open book when it comes to this stuff.

I like coffee. And you're not a disaster. Promise.

It's okay. Really. Smithsonian already covered the exhibit thing. So I sorta got over that feeling a long time ago. I don't mind the questions.
